Belmont features
Along with the likes of Charlestown, Belmont is one of the bigger suburbs in Lake Macquarie.
Situated right on the lake (ideal for morning strolls or a quick swim in the Belmont Baths), the position couldn’t be better. It’s also only a few kilometres out to the beaches, whether that’s Blacksmiths, Nine Mile or Redhead.
The suburb itself has a small shopping centre, a bustling high street and lakeside cafes and pubs. The Tafe also marks the end of the Fernleigh Track, giving you easy bush access and a flat walking trail up through Jewells into Adamstown. Alternatively, take the loop around Belmont Lagoon and admire the wildlife on view.
If Belmont is in your budget range, home prices are very similar to those in nearby Jewells. Belmont has the lake and the shops, Jewells has bushland and serenity.
