Cameron Park features
Lake Macquarie’s northern most suburb, Cameron Park is also the newest. Development of the housing estate began in the early 2000s and has gone from strength to strength since then.
Originally a maze of houses, a lot more amenities have been added to the area including playgrounds, parks and shops.
Cameron Park Plaza has taken away the need to travel for shops and dining out. A large supermarket acts as the anchor, but fast food chains, a large pub and facilities like a gym, hairdresser and beauty salon bring everything you need to the suburb.
As the jewel in the crown, Sugar Valley Library Museum (kirantakamyari) is a building with both books and history, giving locals an easy way to learn about the history of the area and read all the classics.
Sandwiched between the A15 and B89, Cameron Park is in a great location to explore the region, whether you want to head into Newcastle, out to the Hunter Valley or up to Port Stephens for the day.
Prices in Cameron Park remain in the sub $1m category, which for a new, modern home offers great value.
