Cardiff Heights is a well kept secret close to the border of Newcastle and Lake Mac. With only 600 homes, the stock here is in slim pickings but there’s a huge mix of family homes, unique architecture and massive properties. With an entry price comfortably under a million, it’s one of the cheaper spots to get a four-bedroom home with a spacious yard.
There are few features in this small suburb, but it’s got a great location. It’s just minutes to the train station at Cardiff, the hospital in New Lambton Heights and the shops at Kotara. There’s a great bus system in place on Main Road and Cardiff Road, so you can get around easily even without a car.
