Valentine features
Hugging the shore of Lake Macquarie, Valentine is one of the most beautiful and highly desired suburbs in the area.
Close to everything you could need – beaches, hospitals and, of course, the water – Valentine is the perfect place to raise a family or to move to when you want to find somewhere to settle down.
You’ll find a nice range of local shops on Allambee Place, including cafes, a small supermarket and a post office. There’s also a chemist, medical facilities and beauty salons. For anything else, the shops at Charlestown are just a short drive away.
One of the biggest draws to Valentine isn’t just its position on the lake, but also its proximity to nature. Roughly half the suburb is taken up by Green Point Reserve, a large space with bush, hiking trails and open green spaces. It’s also very close to the wetlands at Belmont and the beaches at Blacksmiths, Dudley and Redhead.
The median house price in Valentine is now up at $1.3m which shows it’s an area with huge value, but if you’re comparing it with living by the water in Sydney or another big city, it’s a small drop in the ocean.
