If you’re not too fussed by the beach, Hamilton East is one of Newcastle’s most desirable suburbs.

Looking at a map, there’s not too much going on here. Just quiet streets where families can grow in peace.

Nearby, though, you’ve got everything you could want. Beaumont Street in Hamilton, with all its cafes and shops, is just a short stroll away; if you go in the other direction you’ll find King Street, Hunter Street and Honeysuckle for bars, shops and the local Tafe. For greenery, the suburb borders onto the sporting complex with the No.2 and Number One stadiums and the big collection of netball courts, which also puts Marketown shopping centre within easy walking distance.
