The Junction features
Close enough to Newcastle’s beaches to make them easily accessible, but not quite on the beachfront means The Junction is in one of Newy’s most desired suburbs. Great location but without the Merewether prices.
Junction Fair acts as a hub for everyday shopping, with supermarkets, bottle shops and pharmacies ticking many boxes. This is extended along Kenrick Street with plenty of independent and national shops and restaurants. Rowlands Park regularly attracts markets, giving new options for days out and present-buying.
Some of Newcastle’s best-rated businesses are in The Junction: Talulah, Doughheads and The Junction Hotel among some of the most popular.
Although technically just outside The Junction’s boundary, Lingard Private Hospital, Modus Brewery and The Prince are all within very easy walking distance.
From Junction Fair, it’s a 15-minute walk to Dixon Park Beach, and just a couple more to Merewether or Bar Beach. Being able to get to the beach without the need to find a park on a busy day is a huge drawer for the area.
The Junction has a rich history, too. From being a pivotal spot in early Newcastle to the spot where some of Silverchair’s biggest hits were written, it’s played an important part in the growth of the city.
