When M first got in touch with us, she wanted to explore her options as a first home buyer, but was worried that she wouldn’t be able to afford a house on a single income.

It’s a situation that a lot of people will find familiar. We get lots of similar calls from people trying to buy their first home, but in today’s world you don’t need a partner to get your own place.

Brad and Sarah met with M at the start of the year for her initial consultation. After discussing her current situation and what she was hoping to achieve, we started researching her options.

When we got back to her, we had great news: M was able to buy a home for up to $800,000 – a lot more than what she was expecting to receive.

Although she didn’t qualify for the first home loan deposit scheme, but her parents were willing to help with a guarantor home loan which meant she avoided the cost of LMI.

Fast forward to April 2025 and she had an offer accepted and had picked up the keys for her very own home. As mortgage brokers, being able to help first home buyers like M is the sort of story that makes us proud of the work we do.
